Dryer Sheet Dress

Materials

 

Dryer sheets

Watercolor paint

Paintbrushes

Hot glue sticks

Hot glue gun

Scissors

step 1

 

Cut a dryer sheet in half.

step 2

 

Fold the first piece in half

hot-dog style.

Wrap the folded dryer sheet around the bust 

step 4

 

Tie the strips in a bow in the back.

step 5

 

Take the second piece and fold that piece in half hot-dog style.

Wrap it around the doll’s waist and tie it in the back like the first.

Grab a new dryer sheet. Pinch it in the center and smooth the ends down with your hand so it looks like this

Hot glue the point of the dryer sheet to the dryer sheet wrapped around the doll’s waist

step 9

 

Repeat this step all the way around the waistband. Make sure not to glue anything to the bows tied in the back. Otherwise you will not be able to remove the skirt.

step 10

 

Glue a second layer of dryer sheets in between the sheets you already glued to add more volume to the skirt.

step 11

 

Apply water color paint to the ends of the sheets. Add more water to achieve lighter colors and use less water for darker colors.
